Mercy is as mercy does - It is the 16th Sunday after Pentecost and we are reading from Matthew 18:21-35. Jesus teaches the disciples that retribution is no way to promote living with mercy. We are to be merciful to others just as God has been merciful to us. That, dear friends, is hard work.
