Greetings in the name of Christ!

I am so excited you have come across this online extension of the Christian community that encompasses Grace United Methodist Church. I hope that you will take time to explore this website and learn about all the different ministries happening at Grace. We invite you to join us for worship every Sunday morning at Grace 9:30AM, and Sunday School at 10:45AM. There are also groups for women, men, youth, and musicians (of all varieties!) meeting regularly, as well as a weekly Bible Study on Wednesdays at 6:45PM. I am excited about the possibility of someday, by the grace of God, meeting each of you face-to-face; but for now, let me share with you a bit more about myself. I began my service as Pastor of Grace in June 2009. Prior to that, I served as the Minister of Youth and College for two years at First-Centenary United Methodist Church in downtown, Chattanooga, TN. I am a graduate of Furman University and Wesley Theological Seminary, and in the years between college and graduate school, I taught high school band in Hilton Head, SC. I grew up in Oak Ridge, TN, and I have one younger sister, Lindsay who now lives with her husband, Jim, in NC. While I seek to live each moment of my life in service to God, when I’m not “working,” I’m an avid outdoors-woman. I love hiking and mountain biking, and I even dirt bike every now and then. When it is not too hot I enjoying camping and backpacking, and when it is too hot, I love to get out on the lake and ski! I’m also still a music-lover, and though I’m not teaching band anymore, you will find me on occasion with a trombone or guitar in my hands. I am delighted to be here at Grace, to serve church members and this community. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you and continuing on our Christian walk together!
